It’s pretty much what you would expect from a show where cartoonist Lucy Bellwood guests. Y’all gonna learn some shit about boats and what it’s like to be on a boat wearing canvas pants and what it’s like to draw comics about being on a boat in canvas pants. She also tells us about the worst punishment you can suffer at sea. (hint: It’s not the plank.)

A discussion on Game of Thrones turns into why I obsessivley need to search out the worst facets of humanity which turns into Jesse explaining why he began eating nuts to better himself as a person WHICH THEN TURNS INTO a short education on pecans. After that dumbassery we take a walk down memory lane and recall how we drunkenly stumbled in to our terrible friendships with each other and the fine balance between humility and hubris.

I will not lie to you. I am fairly drunk and a little emotional so you are going to get this post.
Tonight I won the Stumptown Comic Arts award for best writing for The Legend of Bold Riley. I got to accept an award for something I’ve dumped all of my time into for the better part of a decade in front of my loved ones and some of my most treasured peers tonight. There was a couple minutes between my fevered emotion tears to thank some people but there were not enough minutes to say out loud how many there are. Let me do that now.

I was suprised by my esteemed coleagues at the studio today by our theme of automobile woes, although considering Jesses current ordeal with his honda I shouldn’t have been. Cartoonist Matt Grigsby was with us to take a hard left turn into tales of Orca horror then we swerve back into the oncoming lane of car anecdotes with tales of my badass mom making the mistake of lending me her mustang and Ben’s PT Cruiser incident.
